Our School
Over the years we have progressed from renting classrooms to renting a whole school. This achievment was a major milestone in our work with children in Urumqi.
We moved into our new school on 2nd April 2009 and started to teach our children on 4th April 2009.
With 9 classrooms and supported by 3 full time teachers and volunteers, we teach a range of subjects to the children which will benefit them in future life. These subjects include English and Manderin.
Another addition to the school, was the setting up of a computer room. In December 2009, we installed 25 computers and for the first time in their lives, the children had access to I.T. Some of the older children were trained on Photoshop which helped one of the children obtain a fulltime job.
It is our aim to continue our expansion and to include teaching and training children to help them find jobs and start up small business to support their families.

Elderly and Poor
Our work with elderly has been progressing slowly due to lack of funds. However, we have managed to look after some elderly during harsh winter months and supported them with fuel and food. This is an area where we really need to progress and we are making attemps to contact various NGO's and groups who work with elderly.
Our work with the poor is linked to our Education Project and School. Again, due to lack of funds we are unable to reach out to the many other poor families who are desperate for help.
