My name is Galib, I was born in Urumqi Xinjiang China in 22 April 1981, I graduated from Xinjiang university in 2004 in china, there are six people in my family, they are my Mum, older sister,older brother,younger sister,younger brother and me, my father passed away 12 years ago, my Mum is house wife, when my father passed away the oldest one was 19 years old, the youngest one was eight years old, so at that time my sisters and brother could not be able to continue their studies, only I completed my study in the university by my younger sister’s help( because at that time only she had worked outside to help my study and family), when I graduated university my brothers, sisters and me are jobless, at that time it was hard to make a living for my family, because at that time it was hard to find a good job,  at that time Naeem Chuhan who set up “Dawn Foundation”  started to help my family and other families, he has been helping my family, and offered us jobs in charity which called “Dawn Foundation”.

By now I work as a general manager for a charity which called ‘ Dawn Foundation’ which was set up by Naeem Chuhan on March 2007 in England and Wales in order to give aid to poor in China ( this includes education of poor children and welfare of poor and elderly),  we started our first step in Urumqi Xinjiang province China to educate poor children and orphans who are not able to go to school, in the meantime we have helpe some elderly people who have no any relatives who are very poor , initially we have educated them by renting two classrooms from training cener in Urumqi, it is not convenient to educate the children in training centers( during these times we have gotten a lot of difficulties), so Naeem Chuhan has rented a building and decorated the building very well for poor children in Urumqi in order to educate to the poor children well and make them comfortable( at that time Naeem Chuhan spent 55000rmb for decoration of our school), we had payed 102700rmb for this building’s one year rent, it is also including heating fee, at that time we also did not have any certificate for opening school, so we cooperated with one of the training centers in Urumqi( the owner of this training center’s name is Nurigul, her english name is Anna)  and we made contract with her for five years, according to contract we should pay some money for using her certificate, but after 15 months she broke the contract in the meantime the landlord also broke her contract and drove us away from his building, we lost the decoration, and  after we found a building where was a training center, so it has  a normal decoration, but the landlord made a contract with us for only one year , after one year( it was in Dec. 1st 2008) we moved into another building again, this building also has a good decoration, we made a contract the landlord for two years, after two years if the landlord does not use this building we can continue our contract, we pay 80000rmb for the rent for a year, it is not including heating( we also pay heating fee).

Initially There were 125 poor children in Dawn Foundation school in Urumqi , but now there are 200 poor children in our charity school,   it is including 44 chinese who are Han nationalities and 156 Muslim children which are Uygur nationalities ( 58 children are orphans), they are from 6 years old to 16 years old, some children do not have fathers and some do not have mothers( some children’s mothers or fathers are disable and serious sick), even some children have no any parents, although some children have parents their parents have no any job, in addition they have a lot of children( some families have at least eight children), most of them stay by renting a house which bad condition in poor areas.

The process we took to choose the children for the charity is that we chose the children from very poor areas in Urumqi, government agencies and 12 poor schools in Urumqi gave us more than 400 childern’s names , and we went to their houses respectively , and  selected 125 poor children in the 400 children, ( I was very sad when I was selecting the children, because the children  houses’ conditions are very very bad, even some children’s houses nearly fall down, the rain can come into their houses directly, some children’s old houses are on the top of mountains, it is very dangerous, some families have more than 10 children, even six children in this family can not be able to study because of economic problem ), after we got more poor children in the society by helping chinese government,

There are a lot of poor children and orphans who want to study in Dawn Foundation school in Urumqi, but at the moment we do not have enough economy, that is why we have not accepted the poor children who want to study in our school in society, we are planning to accept more poor children after we get growing,..

 There are two qualified teachers, they are Hairigul and me, we can teach english, chinese, maths,physics and chemistry, and there are also six temporaries in Dawn Foundation school in Urumqi, we teach children english, chinese, maths,physics ,chemistry, Russian and computer as volunteers,  we used to have no computers, at that time our children do wanted to study computer, they just dreamed of studying computer,  but we were not able to buy computers at that time, after two years we bought  computers, when we teach them computer they feel very very happy, the purpse of teaching computer is that they will find a good job in their future, because our a lot of children can not be able to continue their study in their regualr school, so we should teach them skills which are good for their future,  Xerinai is one of the orphans in our charity, she is 15 years old, she lives with her grandparents, her grandparents are 90, 95 years old( they do not have any income),  she had studied computer and chinese for two years in our charity,  by now she works one of the advertisement companies and she can  keep her grandparents , and she also teaches our children as a volunteers, about six children found good jobs by Dawn Foundation’s help( it means they studied in our charity school and got good jobs), if Dawn Foundation does not help them they could not find good jobs , Dawn Foundation has given some children’s tuition and their traveling fees, Dawn Foundation also has given some children’s living cost fees and has been giving them meat and clothes and some money every Qurban Eid and Ruzi Eid, so a lot of poor children and a lot of poor people need Dawn Foundation’s help .

 We do not have enough money, because a lot of children want to study in a good condition and a stable place, because the condition of our school is not very good, in addition we have moved for three times, if the landlord needs his building we must move out this building, so we need our stable school,  we should think the children’s future, we should teach them how to make a living, so they should study skills, but we can not teach them skills at the moment, because the skillers’ salaries are very high,. We really need a lot of people’s supports.

Any way Dawn Foundation has done a lot of good things for poor people in china, we just teach how to make a living to the poor children, so we try our best to help the poor people and create our bright future, it needs to hard work and needs to get supportings and helps from these people who are kind.

Dawn Foundation and our chinese government welcome the supporters who want to help the poor, our chinese government support our good things and help us and we should do all things by getting our government permission.
